Coles Phillips is generally credited as the creator of fadeaway art, and more specifically the "Fadeaway Girl." He was born in Springfield, Ohio in 1880 and moved to New York City in 1904. He died in 1927 at the young age of 47. In this image a woman is sitting by yellow flowers.
